Vegan Society of P.E.A.C.E. is honored to have an outreach booth at the annual "1000 Lights for Peace" Festival in Houston during Mahatma Ganhdhi Week. This also takes place during the annual Texas Go Vegan Week.

Our organization will be doing positive outreach for the animals, people and the earth. Volunteers will be handing out free literature at the festival which promotes nonviolence, compassion and ethical vegan living.

Hosted annually by the Mahatma Gandhi Library in Houston, the '1000 Lights for Peace' is a project to create a higher awareness of the inspiring life and work of Mahatma Gandhi and continue his legacy of Truth, Non-Violence, Love, Service and Peace. This is held each year during Mahatma Gandhi Week.

This event is held at Miller Outdoor Theater and features a peace walk, essay contest, poster contest, music and entertainment.
