VEGAN SOCIETY OF PEACE '2ND SATURDAYS' MONTHLY VEGAN POTLUCK, MEETING, FOOD DEMO & PRESENTATION - CELEBRATE MEATOUT 2012!

Join the Vegan Society of PEACE for our

2nd Saturdays Monthly Meeting & Vegan Potluck

Held on the "2nd Saturdays" of each month, we will enjoy a delicious vegan potluck and meeting, along with a discussion, film screening, food demo or speaker presentation. Every month will be something new! See below for this month's topic.

Our Monthly Vegan Society of PEACE Event will be held each month at The Havens Center from 6:00-8:00 PM. All ages and newcomers are welcome to attend!  We'll even have a kids play area for young children, plus plenty of vegan literature and starter guides for the veg-curious.

March is our GLOBAL MEATOUT CAMPAIGN!

This month, we will feature an Ayurvedic Vegan Food Demonstration from PCRM-trained Houston chef Karuna Diedericks. Watch Karuna prepare easy-to-make vegan foods and then sample her delicious cuisine during the  potluck. VSOP volunteer Bernadette Session will have some of her favorite vegan cookbooks onsite while she prepares samples from Upton's Naturals. In addition, we'll have a short film about the history of the Global Meatout Campaign with several well-known personalities.

Please remember to bring a vegan dish to share with the group! Our events are always vegan, so please only vegan or raw vegan foods (no animal-derived ingredients). If you have questions on ingredients, feel free to contact us. Help us also keep our events earth-friendly by bringing your own reusable dinnerware, plates & cups.

This is a great way to meet up with Vegan Society of PEACE each month and learn about our volunteer opportunities, upcoming events and outreach! We will also feature a new discussion topic each month, such as: animal rights, ethical vegan living, vegan health & nutrition, cooking, world hunger solutions, eco-friendly living, nonviolence and more! Some months will also include film screenings and/or guest speakers and food demos. Each month will be something new!
